Aboriginal Youth Traditional Cooking Class

The Aboriginal Youth Traditional Cooking Class will take place monthly. Youth will learn how to prepare traditional Aboriginal meals, under the instruction of an Aboriginal chef. The class will also host bi-monthly community feasts for the St. John's Native Friendship Centre membership. The Nippik Inuit Drum group will donate their time to perform at these feasts to enhance the cultural experience. The class is designed to provide a sense of community responsibility and importance of culture among the youth while providing the Aboriginal community with a healthy, culturally appropriate meal.
